Skull and Shackles
Disry of a Samurai- Part 5
I had recently unlocked my newfound powers and dismissed Porunga not too long ago. But we have been fighting underwater for a while and I really have not had a chance to fully explore my new talents. Therefore, when we got some downtime I took off to go to Port Peril and told my friends to find me when I was needed. In the meantime, I spent a lot of time meditating and training with my new water techniques. Sometimes I would do this at night near the docks. One night, an older gentleman named Giyami saw me practicing and told me of a way that I could learn to bend blood just like water. Naturally, I was intrigued. He offered to teach me this questionable art in exchange for my rare Naginata blade. He was a collector of artifacts. I was hesitant because it is one piece of my homeland and my original time, but I mostly use my kitana, and now my bending. So I made the deal. In order to get better I had to actually go and use it on some unsuspecting schmucks. So I waited at bars and in alleys for some people who nobody would really miss. I then interrogated them with blood bending to see what type of information I could get out of them involving treasures, and any information that would lead to me finding the items I need to jump in time. I’ve never been the sailor or interested in doing the actual sailing. I’m leaving that up to my companions. I deal in getting info and bettering my talents in the name of Yog-Sothoth.
I am thankful for the wise Giyami. He was once a great warrior from a small fishing village who moved to s larger city and got swept up in joining an army. His wife and son died during childbirth while he was off fighting in a war. He decided to quit the army and settle down. He owns his own shop on the outskirts of port peril. Now he stays in the city and collects old and rare antiques to fix up. Some he sells. Some he keeps. He saw a gang of ruffians called the Sea Serpents giving me a hard time near the docks while I was water bending, and he stepped in to aid me. He then saw something in me and decided to teach me blood bending. Perhaps I am the son he never was able to meet. Now I will do him proud and become a better champion of my God, and all will tremble at the name of Taimu AKUMA!
